As y'all probably know, I've been entrusting my skin with IDS for the past few months. During my last consultation, I was recommended I go for the Pico Laser Treatment which would help brighten and even out my skin tone.

Not the clearest skin I've ever had, it was also getting really dull and dry, and I had multiple stubborn acne(repurcussions of steroid-acne). I've tried all methods I could ever know and nothing helped. So when IDS invited me down to try out their treatment, I did not hesitate to say yes.

My skin has become more hydrated, those big angry red spots has diminished and become lighter, thanks to IDS Skincare, facial and laser done at IDS.

I was excited to experience it for myself since IDS has been frequently endorsed by many other influencers. So cheers to a brand new skincare regime to kickstart postpartum life!

I decided to — finally! — take permanent action with regard to my sun spots and discolouration. 

The brightening and glow on my face after the facial lasted for a whole week. My pores looks significantly smaller and skin are definitely more supple.

I have oily T-zone and my skin breakouts easily, so I always had a tough time searching for that ideal sunscreen... but I think my search has come to an end with this.

The biggest significant improvement from using this skincare products and routine is how healthy my skin looks now. The skin tone is even, my complexion appears to be more radiant and I tend to have lesser breakouts than before (even with mask-wearing).

I was really happy to know that my skin hydration level was now better and I actually felt that it was better able to absorb products that I apply onto it too. Point to note though, it helps alot to massage your face while applying it. Feels so relaxing and I enjoyed my morning and nightly routine of doing this while applying the different products.

It’s been a while since I last went for a facial appointment. Fortunately, back on the second week of April, I received a pampering facial session at IDS Aesthetics.

There, there.... Finally, we've come to the end of my 4 months journey with IDS.

It has been almost 2 months since I started on the skincare products produced by IDS Skincare. I was back to IDS again for my skin review and facial treatment.

I rarely put on makeup. I find that putting on makeup is tiring and expensive. Therefore, I focus a lot on my skincare. Through my years of reviewing skincare, I learned one thing. Everyone’s skin type is different no matter how similar it seems. Thus, it is important to use personalised skincare products and treatments for your skin to thrive in the best conditions.

Recently, I dropped by IDS again for a facial and follow-up with my dermatologist. As I have not done facial in a while and one of my biggest concerns was my enlarged pores, the beautician recommended Hydro Therapeutics Treatment which targets clogged pores and stubborn blackheads.

If you remember, towards the end of January this year, I paid a visit to IDS for a consultation. IDS mentioned that I have a lot of sunspots and provided me with my own customised line of skincare essentials to brighten, nourish, and prevent my skin from aging.

I am someone who is not very adventurous with skincare but also because im blessed with skin that are not too problematics. so once im used to a certain skincare product i will jus stick to it. I made my second visit to IDS for doctor review and a pampering facial that I am in need of. With the heatiness that has accumulating in my body due to having too much Chinese New Year cookies, it resulted in skin breakouts recently.

In February, I visited IDS Aesthetics with a jawline breakout and tried the Hydro-Therapeutics Treatment (HTT). It was much needed to unclog my pores, flatten my pimple bumps and lighten those hideous acne marks. By the time I went for my next consultation with Dr Benjamin Yim in the next month, the dark marks along my jawline were barely visible. Talk about tremendous and speedy improvements!

I'm a strong believer that consistency is what allows us to see and experience change. This applies very much to exercise, nutrition and of course skincare. That consistency and diligence to following a programme is key, but the effectiveness of it is also crucial in order for us to see any positive changes and to be able to sustain these changes.

So I entered the Big 4. Did things immediately go downhill as people have warned me?

My 3-month skincare journey with IDS was nothing short of amazing. I started off the journey with their own house brand of skincare products. It took a few weeks for my skin to adjust to their products and once my skin got used to their products, my skin texture started to improve greatly. The Refreshing Toner, Pore Formula and Intensive Moisturiser are the products which brought about great benefits to my skin. I felt that the Pore Formula has help to reduce the blemishes on my skin and the Intensive Moisturiser helps to plump up my skin with moisture.

I recently watched a Tiktok that said that our skin begins really ageing at 25, and that’s when we should already have started pumping the Vitamin C, collagen and hyaluronic acid. Insert blinking meme. Excuse me?? You’re telling me I’m a year late?? Suffice to say, I had a lot of catching up to do. That’s why IDS came into my life at the perfect time.

After reviewing a series of customized skin care products from IDS Skincare as part of my IDS Journey, I was back again at IDS! For this time round, I would be reviewing a facial treatment which everyone of all skin types could benefit from.

As someone who has been lazy in maintaining my complexion, the 6 to 7-step process requires some discipline, morning and night. Nonetheless, I promise myself to give it a go, since I have never tried out anything of such before. Much to my amazement, it has been a fruitful two months and I have been diligently adhering to the steps.

It’s been almost two months now since I’ve been using IDS Skincare products, and I admit that I do see a difference in my skin, especially when it comes to its brightness and reduced dullness. I was looking for a selfie on my phone, but this was the only one I could find (shared this with a friend out of boredom, haha!).

My long awaited facial by IDS Aesthetics is here, and I was totally counting down to my appointment. In the midst of my crazy schedule in February, I started breaking out at my jawline. It could be due to stress or the late nights I was pulling for my programme. Or perhaps I was getting maskne because I was wearing a mask more often and for longer hours.

Well even though that was expected, I was quite concerned with the additional spots, which unfortunately I picked at. SOBS.

Since the start of 2020, I have been wearing less makeup and frankly, I haven’t been able to keep up with my skin care routine due to my hectic schedule of juggling home and work life. I am really excited to write about this because it is a very amazing product. There are a few things I tend to look out for in my skincare/makeup routine and flawless, good skin is ranked number 1. A good base product has to have 4 qualities - colour, consistency, finish and lasting effects. I will talk about each shortly.

Being plagued by skin problems such as acnes and keloids was a torture since puberty. Managing such troublesome and oily skin type was not my forte at all too.

Growing up we didn’t have much money and so, the idea of having facials always seemed like a luxury to me. I only went for my first facial in university, having saved up to share a package with my boyfriend and I remember loving the whole therapeutic experience. Now, facials are a staple in my life and I wouldn’t go more than a few months without heading for a facial to clear up my clogged pores...

Never been on a proper skincare for a very long time. With my current lifestyle, not getting enough sleep and irregular skincare routine. My skin are not well taken care of. Blah. Whenever My husband and I visit my parent place, They always said that I look very tired and My dark circle are getting worst each time.

Growing up, I've never had the luck to enjoy a smooth, flawless complexion. Does your skin feel rough to the touch, and looks rather lacklustre and "tired"? According to Dr Chuah Sai Yee, a consultant at the National Skin Centre, sun exposure, pollution and ageing are the main causes of uneven skin tone.

“When skin is repeatedly exposed to UV light, sun damage occurs. As we get older, skin weakens and the regularity of melanin production is affected, leading to brown spots and uneven skin tone,” said the dermatologist.

Another trigger could be hormonal imbalance. “Melasma, a pigment disorder that results in blotchy, brownish facial pigmentation, is commonly experienced by women who are pregnant – which is why it’s also known as the ‘mask of pregnancy’ – or those on contraceptives.”

But it’s not all bad news if your complexion seems lifeless. It's possible to even out skin tone to decrease dullness and skin discolouration. Just follow these steps, along with some suggestions on what products to use.
